Today, as a leader in the industry, Carlton is regarded to be at the highest level of quality for every major aircraft engine manufacturer.

Carlton produces seamless rolled rings and open and closed die forgings for the aerospace, gas turbine, industrial, commercial and nuclear industries with one of the most extensive lines of equipment and truly skilled craftsmen anywhere.

Forging Every Alloy, with the Latest Technology

 

Carlton Forge Works manufactures parts from all forgeable alloys. Principal alloy groups are nickel, titanium, aluminum, cobalt, zirconium, niobium, and iron. Carlton forges a number of exotic high temperature metals with special properties.

Carlton uses the most advanced, reliable and efficient equipment, including a wide range of cutting edge hydraulic presses and ring mills. Carlton integrates traditional forging machinery with advanced electronics, and uses the latest computer manufacturing techniques as well as CAD as part of its engineering power.

Allen Jr. Takes Over

Allen Carlton Jr. takes over and starts creating gun barrels for WWII.

First Jet Engine Part for GE

Carlton produces its first jet engine part for GE.

First Radial Axial Mill

Carlton commissions its first Radial Axial Mill.

Expansion
C3 — First 8K Ton Press

Installation of the first 8,000-ton press (C3), adding closed-die capabilities.

Addition of the R50, Carlton's second Radial Axial Mill.

Arcturus — First Closed-Die Hammer

Acquisition of Arcturus, including a 50,000-pound closed-die hammer.

Commissioning of the R180, the largest Radial Axial Mill of its kind.
